I just joined the June 09 Sockdown for the Sock Knitters Anonymous forum on Ravelry. This month's challenge is to cast on either an original design of your own or any sock pattern by Nancy Bush. As I already own "Favorite Socks" in which many of Nancy's patterns are published I thumbed through it until one pattern popped out at me. The Eesti Trail Hiking Sock was cast on at about 5pm today and I already have 4 inches knit. Don't you just love knitting socks with worsted weight yarn? Critter#1's feet help out with the photo op:
And for those of you keeping track: I now have 5 pairs of socks going. A new (to me at least) knitting term is required to describe my knitting status. SIP, otherwise known as Sock In Progress.
